A plot is your garden or site. Setting it up properly helps Agent Aqua give you better advice. Here's what each field means.
Plot basics
Plot name is just for you — "Front garden", "Vineyard", whatever you call the space. You can change it anytime.
Plot type affects the illustrated scene you see on the dashboard and helps Agent Aqua understand your garden style. Choose House garden, Vineyard, Apartment balcony, Parkland, Allotment, or Greenhouse based on what fits best.
Location and timezone
Location is crucial. Agent Aqua needs your actual coordinates (latitude and longitude) to fetch accurate weather data for your exact spot. Tap Use my location to let the app detect where you are, or type your coordinates manually if you know them.
You can also enter an optional place name — "Dorset cottage" or "Paris apartment" — just for your own reference.
Timezone must match your location. It tells Agent Aqua which timezone your plot is in, so it knows what time your daily check should run. Pick your IANA timezone from the list — for example, Europe/London, America/New_York, Australia/Sydney. Getting this right matters: if your timezone is wrong, your daily checks will run at the wrong time of day.
Notifications
Notification email is where your daily reports will be sent. It's usually your own email, but you can use someone else's if you're managing the garden for them.
Daily check time is what time each morning Agent Aqua should run its check and send the report. Midnight is popular for early risers; 10 am lets you check your email after breakfast. Whatever you choose, that's the time the report will arrive, in your plot's timezone.
Making updates
Once your plot is set up, you can edit any of these fields by opening Configure from the dashboard. You'll find the plot editor there, and you can save changes at any time. Changing your location or timezone will affect future daily checks, so only do this if you've moved house or realised you set the wrong one.
Why accuracy matters
Agent Aqua reads weather data for your exact coordinates. If your location is wrong, the weather forecast could be for the wrong part of the country — and your watering advice will be off. Your timezone ensures the daily check runs at a sensible time for you. Spend a minute getting these right at setup, and you'll have better advice all season.
