Agent Aqua uses passwordless sign-in. You can sign in with a magic link emailed to you, or with a passkey using your device's built-in authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or PIN). No passwords to remember or reset.
Sign-in with a magic link
Open Agent Aqua and tap or click to enter your email address. Request a sign-in link and check your email (and spam folder just in case) for a message from Agent Aqua. Click the link, and you're signed in. If a link no longer works, you can request a new one.
This method works on any device, anywhere.
Sign-in with a passkey
If you've added a passkey to your account, you can use it instead. On the sign-in screen, choose to sign in with your passkey. Your device will prompt you with Face ID, Touch ID, or a PIN depending on what you've set up. Authenticate, and you're signed in instantly — no email needed.
Passkeys are faster and more secure than magic links, but you have to set one up first.
Adding a passkey
Open Profile and look for Security. Tap Add a passkey. You might see a prompt to re-verify via a magic link first (this is a safety step). Once verified, your device will ask you to create a passkey — usually by using Face ID, Touch ID, or entering your device PIN.
After you've added one, you can use it to sign in on this device. You can have multiple passkeys if you add one on each of your devices.
Renaming and removing passkeys
In Profile → Security, you'll see a list of your passkeys. You can tap or click a passkey to rename it (useful if you have multiple: "iPhone", "MacBook", "iPad") or to delete it.
Deleting a passkey doesn't delete your account — you can still sign in with a magic link or another passkey. You just won't be able to use that particular passkey anymore.
Signing in on a new device
When you sign in on a new device (a new phone, a tablet, a shared computer), start with a magic link. Enter your email, click the link from your inbox, and you're signed in. Once you're up and running, you can add a passkey for that device too if you like.
Security
Passkeys are encrypted and stored securely on your device. Agent Aqua never sees your passkey data — only a cryptographic proof that you've authenticated. This makes them safer than passwords, which can be forgotten or reused across accounts.
If you're worried about security or lose a device, you can delete its passkey from Profile → Security anytime. You'll still be able to sign in with your other passkeys or a magic link.
